Ghost in the Shell Live Action Update

Well we reported a few weeks back that Dreamworks Pictures and Steven Spielberg were currently working on a live action Adaptation of the Ghost in the Shell Manga. Well screenwriter for the live action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, Laeta Kalogridis, revealed last Tuesday that she "will turn in a draft in a few weeks." She also expressed some cautious optimism about the project and discussed that this project faces several obstacles in Hollywood that being the film has a female lead.

Funimation Addresses Dance in the Vampire Bund Edit Controversy

Ok anime fans this has been going around the internet for a few hours already. Apparently Funimation Entertainment the company known for releasing anime titles in their original unedited format has run across one anime title they cannot get around editing. Funimaton Entertainment recently acquired a series by the name of Dance in the Vampire Bund. Recently Funimation Entertainment released a statement to ANN stating this:

Anime Expo to host Voice Actress Yuu Asakawa

Anime Expo last Weds announce a new guest for their con, taking place July 1-4th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Yuu Asakawa best known for her roles in Love Hina (Motoko Aoyama), Azumanga Diaoh (Sakaki), and BubbleGum Crisis 2040 (Priss).

Vic Mignogna will be on this Tuesday's AE Radio

Gundam Unicorn gets 7-Minute Free Preview on Bandai Channel (Update)

Hey Gundam fans for a limited time only the Bandai Channel will be streaming a 7-minute free preview of Gundam Unicorn later today in English, French, Mandarin, and Cantonese. The Blu-Ray is scheduled to be released simultaneously in 7 countries on March 12th Gundam Unicorn is a six part OVA series that returns the Gundam Franchise to it's original roots in the Universal Century universe. The events of Gundam Unicorn take place in UC 0096 three years after the events of Char's Counterattack.
